    Hi Sophia,

I really appreciate how you wrote your article in such an accessible way. Energy issues and sustainability, especially related to corporate responsibility, are important to me but I often get frustrated trying to learn more because the articles I find are written in such as way that the information becomes lost in jargon. The way you described the different scopes makes so much sense and helps identify immediate and long term targets for change. I also agree with your assessment that businesses that pay close attention to sustainability issues and work to prioritize environmental responsibility will emerge as more competitive in the future.

    Great work!

      Hi Sophia,

Thank you for providing a user-friendly, insightful look at how businesses can begin evaluating their carbon footprint impact globally on the environment—chiefly the U.S., which produces a high percentage of the earth’s emissions of greenhouse gases. With only about 4% of the world’s population, the U.S. is a leading source of carbon dioxide pollution.

      Best,

      Lisa

Sophia, it’s great to see that you are still engaged with questions of sustainability — this time through your examination of corporate sustainability through Carbon Accounting at Comcast. It’s reassuring that businesses are recognizing the many benefits and necessity of reducing their carbon footprint. The businesses (and municipalities and countries) that prioritize this will have a clear competitive edge moving forward.
